I ATE THAT - Sweet Chick
I finally made it to the place that I've stalked on Instagram for a long while. And if you didn't guess from the title what I'm talking about then I am suggesting you stop what you're doing (or swipe while you read this) and make your way to the Instagram page of Sweet Chick and get your life. They have a variety of chicken and waffle options like Nashville hot chicken with a milk jam waffle, fried chicken parmesan, tomato Sauce, mozzarella, sun dried tomato with a basil waffle. You get the gist, they don't play around. My friend and I also got an appetizer of macaroni and cheese...we were trying to test out the goods, a pure investigative mission. And in my professional culinary opinion, it was bangin'. For my main course I chose the Nashville hot chicken because I've heard many things about hot chicken so I figured why not. I liked it, I could have used a little more heat or maybe I'm just used to spicy foods? No clue. Now, the waffle is a different story. it was definitely up there as a contender. It wasn't eat without syrup special (Thank God cuz I'd be there every week) but definitely good with the right balance of crispiness with a soft middle. Oh and they have late hours so it's a cute spot to eat and drink and check out the eye candy (both male and female).
Right now there are only two locations. The original in Brooklyn and one in lower Manhattan. For more information, check out their website and enjoy.
P.S. The owner is a Seymour too. No we aren't cousins.
